The Mid South Chapter of the MVPA is "hosting" a convoy to the 2000
convention. I chair the committee regarding this. The details of route &
schedule should be posted onto the MVPA website in the not to distant future,
as well as appearing in future Supply Line issues. I do not know where you
are, but if convenient to you we would certainly like to have you, and any
one else join us.
Should be several vehicles, most under their own power, a few towed.
Expected traveling speed about 45 MPH.
At one time, and perhaps still, I understand that the governments position
was that NO M151A2 vehicles had been released, and any that were out
therefore were illegally obtained. (I don't know how put-back-together
vehicles were explained away)
I think MVPA wanted avoid any liabelity issues by not "sanctioning" a class
for these. But this is from fading memory of hearsay.
