This was not an Evan conversion, just rail wheels bolted on instaed of
pneumatic wheels, and the buffer beam to be able to pull or push the=
waggons.

Without going back to the rail going Ford Ts of the first world war, it
seems these conversions were frequent last war; they existed in the US army
for Jeep, White M3 Scout-car and WC51, in the German army for the VW
K=FCbelwagen and Schwimmwagen, also for the Sdkfz 231 armoured car, Italy
with the SPA Ab40 armoured car, Japan with the Sumida M2593...

The list is long; I know the French Army used rail-going jeeps and WC51s
during the war in Indo-China and Algeria.
