I think I remember seeing pictures of the French in Indochina
patrolling the railroad on such a modified Jeep, 4 guys in
slouch hats and shorts...dos that ring a bell? Or maybe I am
confusing
this particular picture with Aussies in Burma? In any case I
know that
the French had used the 4-rail conversion in Asia.
It might have been in one of the French-published books on the
Jeep.
