Henry, there is a company in India that licensed the flatfender jeeps
from Willys, called MAHINDRA. AFAIK they made mostly civilian-style
flatfenders along the lines of the CJ2A and the CJ3, including a version
that closely resembles the CJ3B. These were produced well into the
mid-90's! They also made a reproduction of the MB/GPW as a limited
edition. I have a couple of Japanese 4x4 magazines that feature this
reproduction, but unfortunately I don't read Japanese. It looks good
from the pictures, but not perfect. I don't know of any MAHINDRAS in the
US, so it could be a really rare bird. Again, since I don't own an MB or
GPW, I can't tell all the differences and wouldn't know about the value
of the vehicle. I'd be curious to know what kind of engine powers them!

I know it's not much, but I hope it helps!
