I just got in on the tail of this discussion so please excuse if I rehash
things. My suggestion to replace the head bolts - even if you find another
problem. The will stretch - I was blowing head gaskets on a flat head jeep
engine, replaces he head bolts has now run 10 years with head gasket
failing. Had same problem with a friend of mines dodge - If you can not
solve I have one that it rained in and it has plenty of compression I cannot
get it to turn it has so much -- ho ho it is rusted locked up pistons will
have to be driven out with big hammer.
