[MV] M37 with oil in coolant

How is oil getting into my cooling system? I understand how the gas was
getting into the oil and rebuilt the fuel pump. The oil remained black
but very thinned so I don't believe the block is cracked. Could the
head and/or head gasket be the culprit?
