2. In case this does not come out correctly spaced on your email, the above
is in two columns under headings of Truck 2 1/2 T and Truck 5 T, each para
under each column labeled a., b., c., d.
3. There may be other characteristics that are readily apparent, some
differ between models. When I was in, we had the M35 2.5T trucks and the
M54, M813 and M923 5T truck which I use as my reference point. I am
recalling this from memory - sorry, I do not have time today to look it up
- if you have not gotten a fuller explanation by Thurs (when I fin my
current project, I can research more for you). If you check Janes in your
local library, they will have some good line drawings that can assist you
in detailed comparison. Others on this list can steer you onto web pages I
am sure that will have pictures that will allow you to differenciate
between the two trucks. Also, the 5T seems to sit a little higher, looks
just a tad bit larger - but that may not be evident at first glance unless
you are used to looking at them.

I think we should leave it up to the list administrator to decide what is
appropriate and what is not, and until he steps in, then the discussion
will
probably continue whether we all want to hear it or not.
Now my question. I understand the difference between a deuce and a 5 ton
as
far as payloads, tonnage, etc., but to me the two vehicles look the same at
first glance. I have not had a chance to see them side by side for a
comparison, so how do I tell the difference between the two?
