Glad to see a question about MV problem. Suggestion and or question- did
you blow out all the lines before you installed them? Recently I had my CMP
apart while doing a valve job. Valve job went great but when reassembled
like you I primed everything and the result engine would run then starve for
fuel. Problem was mud wasps had decided to build nest in fuel lines.
Turned out they had plugged the lines in four different locations. Also you
might want to check for a air leak in the line even a small air leak in the
line under suction will cause a major problem look particularly for air leak
in the line inside the tank. Good luck
