I did it, I bought the M-43 that John Sites has had listed with an
American Story today site unseen.
Now I just got to figure out how to get my two casts clad body to
Maryland and retrieve it!
Guys, I am going to have a lot of questions so I will warn you up front.
I have never really been a car type guy so mechanically, I am not the
most knowledgeable. I can admit my own weaknesses, sometimes.
They tell me the fuel system needs work the tank cleaned replaced, the
carb and the pump reworked. And there is a little rust in the rain
gutters. Is this going to be a real challenge?
I guess this is going to make me a full fledged member of the MV club?
I was looking at this as painting up as a mobile billboard for my survey
company BUT, after looking at the pictures John sent me, it doesn't look
like it will take much to make it original. I might have to find another
for the survey company.
Just wanted to share my good fortune and ask for advice, (ANY WILL BE
GREATLY APPRECIATED). Like what manuals should I buy now to keep this
thing in top shape?
Thanks,
Gordie Bell
