Actually,Rome I beleive was built by killing all those who dissagreed with them.

Here in CDN one can definitly see the lack of APC and of the sort.Oh sure
there is the odd guy who sneaks one in to the country but he has to keep it
hidden from you know who or in some cases a false description is used on the
paperwork.
After you loose your armoured toys,then the guns will be next.Look at the
crap here with the feds wanting registration for every pea shooter that
exists but luckily some of the provinces have banded together to fight this
thing(or so they say)But I'll tell you how that works too.
First comes the ridiculous laws or bills introduced and then when there is
public out cry enough to possibly affect votes,they propose a compromise
which is half way between what they wanted to do in the first place.The next
time around they do another compromise and they are 3/4 of the way there.You
loose more and more as time goes on because there is a hidden agenda
involved.And unless you wake up from TV land and Grocery store land(Food is
a great weapon)
you will never see the real truth.
Emissions control is a great way to get rid of old stuff.You might think
because there are exceptions for antiques or collector now then it's not to
worry but when the numbers start to dwindle they will just eliminate the
catagory altogether because there aren't enough of you.
Look how difficult it is in Europe to be a collecter in some of the
countries there.
Another pile of crap that they were going to introduce in the UK(don't know
if it went thru)was vehicle tax on every vehicle you owned,insured or
not,project or parts car,what ever.Get the picture?
Another pile of bull here in CDN is government inspection.Some vehicles have
looser tolerances than the new stuff today.This was the technology back then
or was done purposly for different situations.The wording of the inspections
rules are in some cases very vague so it is left up to the individual
inspector what he decides.If you get a prick then you have real problems
because the clown was probably taught on Chev sprints and not M37's.Yet he
has the power and they tend to generalize.Just like emissions.There are no
emissions specs from the factory on an M37 but a generalization of motors in
the same size are catagorized and that is what is used.I could go on but
what good would it do.Throw out your TV's and grow your own food.Times are
changing.
