hmmm, in addition to the ORD 9, the photos in "Standard Catalog of US
Military Vehicles 1940-1965 show extension down, I suspect this may be one of
those things where orientation based on mood of mechanic working on it,
although on a 151 they must point down or Jerry can won't fit right.
HOWEVER, all the pictures I have seen of WWII Jeeps, show them pointing up,
exactly opposite all the M38A1 pics I've seen.
I don't own a copy of AAW, I'm actually a 6x6 guy myself...
