When we got out (formerly 3 color camo) CUCV, we went to home depot, and
bought a case of krylon yellow paint in spray cans, and went crazy on the
truck (we have the painted window, bumper, axle, and steering wheel to prove
it!)
Well, this turned out to be a bad idea, because the left side is all
scratched (thanks to a prickly bush) and the tailgate is peeling (thanks to
Jaime's boombox) and it just looks horrible, So deciding to do ti right hte
second time around, We went to the base maintance ppl, (down at the army
base) and asked these 3 questions: and got these answers)
1) Is there a bright yellow CARC paint that they know of, or use?
- We got 2 blank stares, and a "uh huh"
2) Will the stickers (SAR and the CD Logo) stick to it?
- "Uh HUH", "Nope", and "they should, but dont quote me on that"
3) Can we apply CARC over a clearcoat on a 92 suburban, and if not, what do
we need to do to the truck to make it work?
- "Yep", "Doubt it" and "why the hell would you go and do that?"
So after this apperant failiure to get any useful knowlage, (but we did get
a great lunch for a $2.50"
I have decided to question the great and mysterious ppl who live inside my
email program in the folder called "MV"
