I usually don't type stuff just to hear my keyboard click but....
Just having returned from the Iola WI MV meet where our local group, MMVA =
(Mid- West Military Vehicle Association), was present I had several =
positive encounters with "the public" driving home. Stopping for gas and =
burgers I was approached by a bunch of folks who thought my M-37 was =
"neat, cool,,, quite interesting...nice to see these things running..." =
Nothing negative. (Except for the Vet who still has a bad back from one =
of these *&^% things.)
For other positive PR I have used my truck as a "gag limo" for a couple of =
weddings. Great conversation piece. Good PR. =20
That zoo MASH bash in OH sounds like a prime positive event for MVs. A =
bit too far from Milwaukee.
Not to launch into anything remotely controversial but does anyone read =
Yahoo! Internet Life magazine (www.yil.com)? September issue,=20
Pg 108-109 article on How America Uses the Net.. Y2K Survivalist ,James =
Rawles in front of his Ferret..."1960 vintage vehicle is flanked by armor =
plates and .. equipped with belt fed Browning ... semi auto machine gun =
and 2,500 rounds..." =20
Article states he is selling it. If it has not gone already maybe someone =
wants to lighten his burden by buying it ? Maybe not the best PR.
Let's keep the PR positive.=20
(Please excuse my slight diversion on the Yahoo article, Jim Rawles if you =
are on this list no offense....nice looking Ferret though)
