One more thought if I may:
A little silicone grease in the bleeder orifice after your done bleeding
the lines, then place a vacuum line type plug: rubber, vinyl...something
that will
fit snuggly on the bleeder end.
Keeps the orifice dirt and water free.
Maybe a little tedious, but sure beats drilling out bleeders.
