I purchased this truck (no bed) as a parts truck (no title) to supply my
DUKW with a few missing axle parts. I'm told it's been in a shed for the
last 15 years, ran when driven outside the shed 2 years ago and parked. It
was used as a propane delivery truck up in the foothills.
Stuff still there and probably worth keeping: engine, transmission,
transfercase, winch and PTO, driveshafts, springs, front and rear axle
assemblies (less stuff listed below), cab (better than most), all data
plates (kinda rusty), doors, fenders, side panels, front grill, steering
system, front shock absorbers,...
Stuff missing or probably not worth keeping: frame (extended 15 inches in
the middle and several feet out back, poorly reinforced), hood, radiator,
both 3rd members, both front inner axle shaft assemblies, wheels and tires,
one brake system (backing plate to drum) on rear axle, headlight buckets,
propane system for engine,...
As a whole, I don't believe this truck is worth restoring, but would make a
good parts truck. Feel free to contact me for more details.
