List,
I hear that there was a GPW owner at San Jose MVPA Meet with his jeep,
(painted Navy Gray) who had taken two rear Axle's, removed the flanges, then
joined them and modified them, to have splines on both ends. This allowed
him to have locking hubs on the rear wheels of his GPW, as well as the front.
I was wondering if anyone saw this jeep, and if so, could I get some more
feed back on the feasibility of attempting this modification, measurements,
etc., as I flat tow quite a bit with my '42 GPW.
