What Uncle Sam supplies with truck is hose with built in of on valve that
couples to emergency (right) side glad hand on rear of truck. Then open valve
adjacent to glad hand and away you go.
Beauty of this is, same set up readily available at large truck stops.
The genuine GI ones have black rubber hoses.
This is listed in the early manuals as part of the trucks basic OVM list.
