Will be going to Great Lakes DRMO to pick up a Deuce on Friday after waiting
a month for my "Trade Security Council" clearance. According to the DRMO, it
was built in 1970, but the S/N is
04E-53771 0525-20xxx
I had thought that the '71' in '53771' was the year of production based on
other examples I had seen. Is the DRMO wrong? (First time I'm sure ;^) ) Or
is there some other circumstance that would create this situation? I tried
looking in the -10 and -20 for any clues but came up with nothing.
Once you remove the property from the DRMO, they won't change any of the
information on the SF97 and I don't want to create any problems for myself
later on when applying for the title, registering, etc. If they are wrong,
should I push the issue if they insist, or just blow it off? I know lots of
titles don't match when it comes to many MV's, but if I have a chance to
make it right the first time, well...
Thanks in advance,
Jay Keine
