I'm really curious about any "official" and/or "correct" installations
of Stuff in the van box of an M109A3. How were these things used? What
sorts of Stuff was installed in the back, and how? There are some
clues in the supplies lists in the manuals, and some of the manual
titles that can be found in searches at NTIS give some hints, but I
haven't found any specific information yet. I figure I could fit my
bed, a nightstand and a comfy rocking chair in the back for traveling,
but I rather doubt that was ever an authorized installation. :-)
If anybody can provide any descriptions and/or pictures, either from
official documents or from memory, I'd appreciate it. I'd especially
like to hear about any radio installations which might have ended up
in shop vans, instead of in communications shelters on the backs of
regular cargo trucks.
Thanks in advance for any information! Feel free to reply privately or
to the list, as the mood strikes you.
