[MV] M38 CARBURETOR

I am in the process of rebuilding a M38 carburetor( carter YS ), when
I took the top off a small ball about 1/16 in diameter rolled out. I
looked at the exploded view in the parts tech manual and it showes the
ball but it dosent show where the ball fits. Has any one successfully
rebuilt one of these carbuetory and can supply some help.
