Now I'm sure that you've got all the gaskets washers, springs etc in place
on the filter, and this being the case, what is the pressure on your guage ?
I once found that when mucking around with the shims on the oil pump (I'm
sure I added one or two) I got great pressure on the rear main bearing &
guage. Problem was it caused the oil filter gasket to leak.
Take out the shims & hey presto back to good old low oil pressure when warm.
Hmm. Anyone else been mucking around with your engine, or has it always been
a problem ?
John
