Hello Mark:
I believe the original dry cleaning solvent the old manuals refer to is
carbon tetrachloride, which was proven to be a carcinogen, and now not
generally available. There are more choices available today; parts cleaning
fluids, carb cleaner, etc.; the list experts can fill in some more.
