I remember from pictures of various conflicts the
signposts in the middle of nowhere at the frontlines...
somtimes with enemy signs still there after the place
changed hands.....
e.g. in North Africa...giving directions where to find
- Division HQ
- Field Hospital
- Fuel Dumps
- NAAFI
- Cinema
- Officer's club
- "D" Coy HQ
- etc etc etc etc
Why not, apart from "official" signposts for
Arena, Living History displays, Toiletes, stalls
also signpost the various groups or contingents attending,
like
- IMPS
- MVT
- MVPA
- BMVT
- KTR
- MIL-Veh List
- "who ever" MV Club
- etc, etc, etc
It would not only help finding your way, but
if done in the military manner, e.g. on an old
telegraph pole with stenciled or hastly written signs,
add a bit of "living history" amosphere....
This may be done at MV show....
