Before operating the OT-810, you must disassemble the rear differential and
check fasteners and clearances. You should also service the entire vehicle
and check every critical part in the drive, suspension and steering.
Several of my friends are in a local reenacting group and they now have
three Czech OT-810 half-tracks.
Two had their rear differential come apart, completely destroying the
differential. A third was found to be assembled loose with out any of the
bolts locked down and would have also torn itself apart if not retighten and
clearances inspected.
Apparently, many of the OT-810's differentials were assembled this way.
After servicing, the tracks seem to be reliable.
