Regarding my inquiry about a WWII vintage Chevy 4wd I found in a junk yard.
Someone said I should grab the data plate. Well, we now have a small
problem. The yard had a major fire yesterday, total so far is 350 cars and
trucks lost. The main section with all the buildings, large trucks, and the
old cars and trucks was unharmed but the chevy unit was on the south west
side, the fire was on the south east side but I don't know yet how far it
went to the west. If it's still there, I'll get the plate. Moral of the
story is, always grab the data plate when you see it, else you may never see
it again.
