Okay,I sent this once, but it did not come through for some reason.Have no
idea why.Anyway,to those of you who were able to attend the Veteran Day
Celabration at the Colorado Historical Military Museum, thank you.For those
who did not,you really missed out on a lot of fun.It was a blast...three
cases of dynamite worth. We started the day giving tours through the
museum, about 75 fully restored and operational vehicles. We had a pretty good
turnout.60 pizzas and 45 cases of Pepsi were gone in ten minutes! Then at 1
PM mountain the real fun started!!Time for the firepower demonstration. We
started off by firing the M60 from a M151A1 and a .50 cal from the post
mount in the back of an M37.A word of caution, never feed ammo to a .50 cal
without hering protection :)My ears still hurt. Then i was blessed with the
opportunity of firng the M-60 machine gun.Needless to say I have a new
addiction!!Anyway,it was one heck of a celabration.A lot of military vehicle
buffs showed up and everyone that came enjoyed themselves. There were several
WWII POW's talking to the people. It was a lot of fun.I can't wait for the
next time. Please excuse any typosI am dead tired, but had to share my
experience with everyone.
