The vehicles were stored in the open in 20 to 25
rows, 8 to 10 vehicles in line.
They were driven there and parked 30
years ago, stripped of all canvas and many
attached parts....and just left there !
Paint pealing off, gauges full of water...
USA Reg. Numbers still visible on some.
The owner inherited the place from his father,
who scraped about 500 MB / GPWs in the 60ies,
...as evidence, there was a 40 foot trailer with
Jeep fuel tanks, originals, ...and stored in
the open for many years...derelict.
...a couple of tons of snow chains piled up...
piles of spares...original Dodge canvas piled
up...in a barn with leaking roof !
Ambulances were full of radios and pwer supplies,
since years out in the open, winter or summer...
thousands of FORD packed repair kits for
vacuum wipers....USD 20 each...for a handfull
of tiny gaskets !
The guy was THE MOST EXPENSIVE
SURPLUS DEALER I EVER MET ! AND MAN,
HE WAS UNFRIENDLY !
A picture was published in the KTR magazine
some time ago.
Let the stuff rott !
...OTHERWISE: KEEP THEM ROLLING !
