Once they were mounted and aired up, zillions of pin hole leaks appeared on
the sidewalls. I was told by the (same) Genesco guy that a)gee, I guess they
need tubes after all and that he would sell me some, and b)the holes were
for pressure relief at high altitudes.
To make a long story short, we couldn't get the tires dismounted, and ended
up burning them off!
Genesco's response to what I believe was bad information from their employee
was "tough."
I have not done business with them since.
On a happy note, if you want MUTT tires, I have found Sam Baker at Sam's
Surplus in Stanton Texas to be an excellent source of 16" NDT tires. He
sells them to me at $25 each, mounted and including wheel. (since I use them
on farm equipment, I dismount them and throw the wheels away) The tread I
have received has been new to 80 or 90 percent. The last time I looked, he
literally had hundreds of these.
Good luck,
Mike T.
