By memory, 9/16 would be closer. I didn't have one and discovered I
needed
one on a Sunday afternoon so I grabbed a high tensile bolt and ground
each
of the flats slightly to make the head fit into the hex. Then a pair of
"stilsons" or a pair of "vice grip" (locking) pliers onto the bolt shank
and you have a quick but rough allen key.
