I have one. Things you need to know.

Underpowered...unless you get a multifuel version...then marginal, better bet
is M291 or M820 (same thing only a 5 ton unit). Some of them currently up
for bid a DRMO Tobbyhanna.

All these are so tall that they require a wrecker or double drop deck trailer
(low-boy) to move if not under there own power. A lot of these have had the
heaters and air conditioners removed. Some air conditioners are 60 cycle 3
PHASE, others 400 cycle ALL require an outside power source.

Uncle Sam had an asbestos abatement program which removed part of the heating
system ductwork as it was asbestos lined. Other non asbastos materials are
available to line ducts with, but many of the ducts were destroyed.

Some have plywood inner roofs which are insulated, others have been fitted
with expanded metal inner roof, which is uninsulated.

I ahve been looking for the extension cord that goes on the undertruck reel,
and the special wrench used to expand the truck for about 6 months to no
avail.

The operators manual states the M292 has no off road capability, which is
probably a result of it grossing something like 23000 pounds, which is the
heaviest I've seen on a deuce chassis.

Truck will test your reverse driving skills.

Rides like a caddy though.

Good luck,
David Doyle
