Dear list,
I have an M274A5 Mule that required a clutch job recently. I think I
have everything put together correctly, but I have a slight slippage
occurring in third gear, high range (not frequently used). The clutch
cable seems to be correctly adjusted.
I suspect it has something to do with the adjustment of the 'fingers" on
the pressure plate. There is an adjustment procedure on page 64 of TM
5-2805-213-14, the engine maintenance manual. Does anyone out there
have any actual experience with this? Any other ideas as to a possible
cause? I would like to be well armed with information before I go
tearing into things.
