Hey, I just found out that I won a bid on a water trailer. I don't know
the M series number, but I believe it to be a 250 gallon trailer on 1
1/2 ton trailer chassis. Has original tail lights and the original
wheels and tires. Still camo paint with white stars. The pintle hook has
been replaced with a ball hitch. Also the landing leg is missing. It was
a '57 model. My question is, this trailer was used for tar and oil for
patching pavement. The tar and oil is caked on the inside and probably
in the spigot in the front of the trailer. The tar doesn't look like it
has dried out and is still somewhat lucid. What is the best way to clean
the tar and oil out of the tank. I won't use this trailer as a water
trailer, but to hold fuel. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
