I regret the distraction, but I hope that we can overcome
this virus situation soon.
Two writeups about the worm:
DataFellows
http://www.datafellows.com/v-descs/newapt.htm
Network Associates
http://vil.nai.com/vil/wm10475.asp
The virus attachment is about 70KB in size, which makes me
fairly confident that it was not spread via the list. The
message size limit under majordomo was 40KB, and when I made
the cutover I reduced it to 30KB. Anything larger will be
bounced back to the sender.
If you have a copy of a message containing the worm which
purports to come from the list, please forward it to me at
<postmaster@skylee.com> (I read all my mail on UNIX
machines, so I am not worried about being infected by this).
If you do not have anti-virus software installed and you
open its attachment, you will infect your computer. Be
forearmed with appropriate anti-virus software.
