I found it my 92/93 Janes book, so here are the stats:

LMC 1500 Over-snow Vehicle

DESCRIPTION

The LMC 1500 over-snow vehicle replaced the earlier LMC 1450 in production
and is available in three versions. One is a two-man cab version with an
uncovered cargo area measuring 1.7 x 1.778m and another a five-man cab with
a reduced cargo area measuring 1.122 x 1.7m. A fully enclosed full cab
version with a covered cargo area or seating for the driver and up to seven
passengers is also available.

In all forms the LMC 1500 has a maximum load capacity of 1080 kg which is
reduced to 454 kg when crossing deep unpacked snow. Two widths of tracks
are available, 711 mm for summer use and 914 mm, to enable the vehicle to
cross rough terrain as well as snow. The tracks are three ply rubber with
heat-treated steel cleats and steel grousers can be fitted to increase
traction over rough ground. The suspension each side is three or four
rubber-tyred road wheels with trailing arms and there are no return rollers.
The drive sprocket is at the rear.

The driver and passenger are provided with bucket seats and seat belts.
Passengers in the five-seat version are also provided with bucket seats but
rear passengers in the eight-man version use padded folding benches. The
driver and forward passenger are provided with doors and on the cab models a
rear door is fitted. All windows are safety glass.

The vehicle is powered by an AMC 258 petrol engine allied to a Chrysler A727
automatic transmission and a torque converter. Steering is provided be a
planetary steering differential using two steering levers in front of the
drivers seat. The levers actuate a master cylinder which in turn actuates
slave cylinders connected by linkage to each steering band.

Roll bars may be fitted if required.

------------- end

I believe the number after the branch of service is the quantity delivered,
thus if you actually have a USMC LMC 1500 then it is only one of two, as of
1992/93 that is. The numbers in brackets are my unit convertions as Janes
is all metric.

Keep me/us posted.
