First, I apologize for the non-vehicle subject. But this might be of
interest to the hard core military exhibiters. Especially you with the M37
Weapons Carriers.
I have a barn to tear down for new construction. In it, I've found several
hundred wooden ammo cases. The few that I've pulled out so far are labeled
as follows:
R4HPA Ammunition for Cannon
with smoke projectiles
2 shell, smk, wp. M57A1, w/fuse TSQ M77
81MM Mortors CU 1.06 loaded
Manufacturers stamps so far are: Newton Bros, LBP CO JAN 1953,
Tuscaloosa, AL
Max M Maden No 4
NOV 1952, Jackson, MS
Condition ranges from excellant to dry rotted, they've been in the loft a
long, long time.
I thought that these might be of interest to the authentic display people
among us. I've got to move them before the barn comes down. Contact me off
line.
Thanks to all the replies on the M43 ambulance!!
