To All the Keepers of Odd Knowledge Out There...

RE the Ford NNA tractor engine, it may have been built in the UK, but a
good deal of the design work was done here. It was, in fact, half of a
Mercury 239 ci L-head V8. While doing some research at the Henry Ford
Museum, I came across papers from the principal design engineer of the Ford
GP, Dale Roeder. He was also involved in the NNA engine project and
mentioned it in his reminiscences.
