As many of us have been saying for decades. The best thing that could
happen (in a negative kind of way) would be if this legislation would
threaten WWII vehicles, then you can bet the MVPA would get off their butt
and start getting active (on our behalf that is). But as long as it would
only apply to M series and modern MV's, you will not get very far with that
group. Look at the demil (mutilation I believe it's called) issue with
M151's. This insanity went on for decades and now they are all gone, the
Gama goats are being crushed, hmmwv's (other than the one out of character
sale they had) are destroyed. MVPA did nothing. But when importation of
WWII stuff was threatened (all this form 6 stuff) then all the sudden they
get active, although I'm not sure what if anything was actually done.
Just my opinion and since they monitor this list and I have been contacted
in the past, there is no need for them to contact me again, we've talked
about all this before.
