So,a couple of weeks ago I went to a Ritchie Brothers Auction.There were 2
Rueben Owen Rocket Launcher trailers(1981 vintage) there.Because they were
british and had the same lighting as Land Rovers I was bidding on them.I got
out bid so I found out who got them and made a deal.The trailers were going
to a ship yard to move stuff around the docks and the guy didn't want
anything other than the frames wheels and suspension.So for $50 I got all
the British Military lighting off both,all the air stuff like lines and
tanks and pots,all the reflectors,storage boxes,fenders,junction
blocks,wiring,light cages and so on.I figured out the replacement cost alone
just on the lights was around $3000.It took 2 of Us and about 5 hours to
unbolt everything.The guy paid $400 for each trailer.
All in all everyone was happy.Thats what I call a good deal all around.
