Update to the demill bill, from the office of J.C. Watts:
The staffer called back and told me that the bill was law, and DoD has
been funded for another year. Since the DoD had been working so hard for
so long to get money, they took some time off, so there was no one
available for the staffer to speak to about the demil portion of the bill.
He reassured me, however, that people on Capitol Hill actually do ave
common sense (!!!!!!!) and that the gumment ain't gonna come git our
pick-em-ups.
I feel vastly reassured now that I have been told that our federal
legislators have common sense. Therefore I will sleep easily this
evening, knowing that my interests are being so well looked after.
