All the suggestions published here before me are good.
When you fill the gas tank fill it with high test. The mid
and lower grades of gas have a shorter shelf life and start
to turn to varnish sooner than the best stuff.. Charge the
battery up full and disconnect the ground wire from it while
the jeep sits..
About each 4 weeks turn the motor over a couple of turns without
starting it. Then put a trickle charger on it for an over nite
charge to keep the battery up to snuff..
And most critical check the anti-freeze value with a good
checker to insure the level is more than enough to insure
you don't get a cracked block over the winter..Crack the cap
on the radiator to release the pressure and allow for minor
expansion and contraction in the cooling system.
My 57 Chevy, 41 Chevy Staff and M38A1 all hibernate for the
New England winters between November and about mid May each
year. this is the procedure I follow and have had zero problems
for the last 4 -5 years
