No offense, but the guy is just plain wrong. When the contract called for
crates, they were crated. There are Willys part numbers for the individual
pieces of the crates so the factory was involved in the crating process. I
recently saw some film footage from the National Archives that shows Ford
GPWs being put into crates. You are right that not all vehicles were crated
though if this is the point you are trying to make. If the point is that
they never crated jeeps, then you are wrong.
