The little carb on my 6602 gasser 5 ton dump is actually a 800 cfm holley carb.
Not little by any standards, but it looks small next to the huge 6 cylinder
Continental. I get right around 4 mpg with my M51 dump. Sometime a bit less if
it is loaded to the limit. Big triaxle diesel dumps can get 4-5 mpg but they can
gross out at 62,000 lbs also. Personally I like the big gas motor. It is
ridiculously simple.
