Hi Mark,
A lot of the scrubbing marks you see are simply the result of the rear axle
centers being several feet apart, and since they need to rotate in a turn on
one center, the other skids sideways to stay in the correct radius. Nothing
much you can do about that. Some is also due to the "wind up" you refer to.
