Dave, it sounds exactly like the AS-1729/VRC antennae. The NSN for the
antenna sections together is 5985-00-985-9024, BUT NOTE that the sections are
also coded separately, as well as in a pair:-
Whip.upper section... AT-1095
Whip, lower section,,, AS-1730
The standard "ball" tip comes as SCC-446046
