Agree, but it should be done with the correct 'A' frame or 'Hollybone' which
is a piece of wrecker kit and has the single pintol that attaches to the
wiffle tree/the front tow hook or a spreader bar which is chained back to the
front axle, of the stricken vehicle, thus keeping the wrecker hook pivot
(lifting) directly above that of the 'A' frame pivot (pulling) . The other
two ends locate on the rear of the wrecker.
It can be done with a 'tow bar' reversed but this is an improvisation and not
how a towbar should be used - i.e., only for 'flat' towing instead of
suspended by turning the dead vehicle into a trailer.
