Very curious, not on my motor! Looking at my JXD manual that I got
through Portayal Press seems to indicate that there are a lot of
variations in the JX family. I am told there is 26 versions of the
Zenith Mod 29 carby alone!
The front plate on the motor (and to which you are refering) is a
M8 Greyhound/M20 specific part. They may very well have eliminated
the adjustment you are refering to, which in itself my be the source
of the problem.
