Chris, ya didn't get taken on the Wagner, it's learning curve is just a
bitch. Viscosity has to be dead on as does learning the adjustments and
watching for the level in the reservoir or you get the "phlegm balls" as it
coughs.
I painted an M38A1 with 10 year old solar heat reflective green ( HAWK
system) govt paint using a Wagner. It wasn't factory but would have fit in
motor pool class.
Next step though would be to sashay down to Sears and use plastic to get
a HVLP gun for around $170. The fun you will have with standard gun is going
to make the Wagner pale as you learn. Unfortunately, learning to paint under
pressure and time/WX constraints is a gold plated bitch. HVLP will at least
cut down on how much of the neighborhood, house, wife ,tools ,dog and you
end up primered with a straight air gun. Been there, done that, got the law
suit and settled for $300 body shop bill for buffing and cleaning neigbors
car over 100 feet away.
Have Fun, Ron
