Alright, alright. ALL of these (GP tents that I have described) have wall
poles around the perimeter. I still maintain that the GP Small has only
one center pole.
The Hex tent is the M-1951 tent. It is 13.5 feet in diameter (smaller that
the GP Small) and only about 7.5 feet tall. It does, indeed, have only one
pole, as all the sidewalls are held under tension by the guylines. It is
not a "walk around inside" tent, although you can stand up in the center.
There is also the Arctic Tent, which is the same footprint as the GP Small,
but has no perimeter poles. It is about 3.5 feet shorter than the GP Small,
but shares the same center pole and tent liner (this is why a GP Small tent
liner does not reach the ground).

No quite right..The single pole is actually a "HEX" tent...the GP small
actually has side poles and poles for the entry way.. 1SG
