It WOULD be cheaper to put an over the road truck under there than to do all
the mods we have discussed. Let's see; Radial 1100r20 tires, 9 at $400,
with new wheels, that's at least $4500. Interaxle diff, installed, maybe
$2000. Auxiliary overdrive, installed, maybe $2000. Locking Hubs,
installed, $800. Airbrake upgrade, installed $5500. Power Steering,
installed $1500. Rebuilt Cummins 5.9 ltr Engine, installed, $12,000. Total
$28,300.

70 MPH down the interstate in a deuce; PRICELESS!

        On a flatbed behind a Freightliner, $2 a mile.

Well, I guess I have to repost my statement of about a year ago.
You want a faster truck, bring your M35 over to my shop and we'll
jack up the radiator cap and drive a Freightliner under it.
M35/M35A2, etc., are combat vehicles and are not designed for high
speed cruising.
