Lead or steel shot for reloading shotgun shell works good too. And if the
rust is really thick, try squashing a couple of handfuls of shot (or pebbles)
in your hand with some rust remover (naval jelly), but be sure to have some
rubber gloves on when you do it!
I have used various tank sealers, and all of them tend to work, but there
always never seemed to be enough for one application, buy two cans to be safe.
Then again, if you keep the tank full you shouldn't need a sealer....
